Spicy chicken with gravy

Ayubowan my friends, I know there are a million ways to make a chicken curry and knowing me, I am always experimenting new and healthy ways of making the curry without compromising on the taste. So, this is yet another way I came up and trust me; you will not be disappointed.

Serving size : 4

Cook time : 40 min

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g of skinless chicken thighs and drumsticks( or even chicken breast)cut into desired size

  • 2 large onions chopped finely

  • 1 large tomato chopped finely

  • bunch of curry leavs

  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 tbsp of crushed pepper 1/2 tbsp of curry powder

  • Sea salt to taste

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli flakes

  • 4 tbsp fresh coconut

  • Fresh chillies ( I used 3)

  • 1 cup water

METHOD

  1. In a large pot, add the chicken, pepper and salt. Add some water and boil at a low flame.

  2. In a skillet, add rest of the ingredients; mix and cook until it creates an aromatic, thick gravy.

  3. Taste test the gravy; add more salt and chilli flakes if needed. Now, add the boiled chicken; stir and cook for a further few mins until everything is mixed well.
